Stavros the Greek - Winner – Melbourne Cup Cup, November, 2023 Stavros the Greek – Winner – Triggered Major 1 March 2023

Variable performances across 2023 deliver Stavros the Greek another nnomads Golf Club championship The nnomads Golf Club championship was based on the average of the best four scores across all nnomads Golf Club major events in 2023. Stavros the Greek ended up with an average net score of 72.3 strokes across his four best events which was 0.25 strokes in front of 2^nd place getter TJ. Stavros the Greek won three major events in 2023 including the first ‘Triggered Major’, in March, the ‘Blessed are the Big Nose’ Cup (BBNC) in April, and the ‘Melbourne Cup Cup’ in November. In addition, he was runner up in the second Triggered Major in September, and was best-off-the-stick in both the ‘Blessed are the Big Nose’ Cup, in April, and the ‘Melbourne Cup Cup’ in November. This was within the context of suffering a rotator cuff injury in the middle of the year that kept him out of golf for nearly 3 months. Third-time club champion: This is the third time Stavros the Greek has won the nnomads Golf Club championship, previously winning in 2012 and 2020. His win in 2023 allows Stavros to join a select group of nnomads Golf Club members who have won three or more club championships (being Pup, The Cardinal and The Bloke). The nnomdas Golf Club committee congratulates Stavros the Greek on an unlikely win in 2023. The results again show that you do not have to win every major golf event to be club champion. You just need perform well in four major events and be ahead of the pack as was Stavros the Greek in 2023.
