Superior performance delivers The Bloke The nnomads Golf Club champions in 2017

The Bloke

The nnomads Golf Club championship was as always, based on an average of the best four scores from the nine nnomads Golf Club major events in 2017. The Bloke ended up with an average net score of 71.75 strokes across his four best events which was 2.25 strokes in front of 2^nd place getter and immediate past club champion Pup. The Bloke had an excellent year, winning two major events - The ‘Blessed are the big nose Cup’ in March and the ‘Santa Decanter in December. He also came in a close second in two other events – The ‘ANZAC Day medal’ in April and The ‘Victorian Open Masters Invitational Tournament’ in June and, and was Best-off-the-stick in 6 of the nine major events in 2017 (see BOS gallery 2017) . The Bloke also ended up top of the ‘Bladder’ table with 46 points from a possible 226 points allocated in 2017. Handicap continues to fall: Of particular note is the continuing reduction in GA handicap he achieved in 2017. He started the year with a nnomads GA handicap of 18 strokes and finished the year with a GA handicap of 14.9 strokes, a truly spectacular performance. Third time champion: Of significance, is the fact that this is the third time The Bloke has won the nnomads Golf Club championship previously winning in 2013 and 2011. No other member in the long and proud history of nnomads Golf Club has won three club championships, making his 2017 win a testament to The Bloke’s resilience and indeed brilliance. The nnomdas Golf Club committee congratulates The Bloke on another sensational performance in 2017. The results again show that you don’t have to win every major golf event to be club champion. You just need perform well in four major events and be consistently overly aggressive – Joking of course.
