Consistent performance delivers championship to Rubber Man

2014 nnomads Golf Club champion Rubber Man is the perfect example of how consistent performance over a number of major competitions can deliver results. He showed that you don’t have to win every event to become club champion. Rather, being in and around the top three place getters in multiple major events can do the job.

For example, in 2014, Rubber Man won the 2^nd Triggered Major, came 2^nd in the Shanksy Invitational Tournament, came 3^rd in the ‘Blessed are the Big Nose’ cup, came 3^rd in the Anzac Day Medal, and came 3^rd in the Victorian Open Masters Invitational Tournament.

This delivered a net score over his best four championship rounds in 2014 of 69.8 strokes a full 0.2 strokes in front of his nearest rival Nurse Min and 1.2 strokes in front of Slugger in third place (see final results in the table below).

It should also be noted that Rubber Man came third in last year’s club championship again showing he was primed to be successful sooner than later.

As one of the more popular nnomdas Golf Club Members, the club committee is delighted to congratulate Rubber Man on his well-deserved win in 2014.
