2/3/2010 - 2009 nnomads Golf Club Club champion
gets his trophy: It has taken until late March to finally present the club championship
trophy to Slugger, the nnomads Golf Club championship
for 2009. In front of a huge
crowd of two (Stavros and Pup), Slugger was cool as a
cucumber as made a delivered his acceptance speech and held the trophy and
box of balls on high. "Look the timing is good because I still
have two weeks to have both the club champion and the 'Blessed are the big
nose' trophies on my mantelpiece" explained Slugger to the adoring
media. And that is where
the trophy will stay for the rest of 2010 until the next club champion
rises to the top. |

29/12/2009 - nnomads Golf Club Club champion
2009: Slugger is the nnomads Golf Club championship for 2009. After the "Santa's
decanter' 2009 held on the 28th of December, Slugger
remained the 2009 major event tour leader with an average net score of 68
strokes over his best three competitions in 2009. This was a full 2.3 strokes
in front of the second ranked player Fang on an average net score of 70.3
strokes who was 1 stroke in front of Tom in third spot (net
average score 71.0 strokes). Big Nose
started the year strongly winning the 'ANZAC Day medal' (net 78 strokes) and
the ‘Blessed are the big nose’ Cup (net 70 strokes) within a month of each
other. He then put in a brilliant performance at the Victorian Open Masters
Invitational Tournament (net 70 strokes) in October before having a blinder
in the Melbourne Cup Cup in early November (net 64
strokes). That was all he needed to stay in front for the rest of the
2009 tour. The nnomads Golf Club committee congratulates Slugger
on a consistent performance across the 2009 tour and looks forward to
presenting him with the club championship trophy early in the new year. |
