Standardised Event Report: ‘Circuit Board Runs AMOK’
January 25th 2025: Once again, the first major nnomads Golf Club event for the year was the Australian Masters Open Kup (AMOK), run at the Growling Frog, in perfect conditions for golf.
Being the first major event for the year, a solid cross section of nnomads Golf Club membership turned out, creating only what could be described as a [insert preferred adjective] field. Preferred adjective alternatives – 1) Impressive, 2) Top class, 3) Sensational, 4) Magnificent or 5) Awe-inspiring: First onto the tee in Group 1 were The Bloke, Curtis, Markus Octavious and Circuit Bioard, closely followed by Group 2 with Freddie Five Iron, Nurse Min, The Hanging Judge and Stavros the Greek. With such a highly skilled field, it was clearly going to be a [insert preferred adjective] competition (see 2025 Player Groups).	AMOK Player groups 2025 Photos
Quality golf on course: And that is exactly how it turned out with a truly [Insert preferred adjective] display of how to play competition golf. Perfect examples included Stavros the Greek’s two [Insert preferred adjective] NTPs on the 5^th and 16^th holes and his [Insert preferred adjective] longest Drives on the 8^th. Then there was The Hanging Judge’s [Insert preferred adjective] Longest drive on the 15^th and Circuit Board’s [Insert preferred adjective] NTP on the 2^ndhole. It is fair to say the adoring gallery again got their money’s worth (see On Course in 2025).	On course at the AMOK 2025 Photos.
CB runs AMOK: Now those that follow the history of this famous event would know that TJ has won the event for the last two years and was a strong favourite until he was scratched at the last minute. This created an opportunity for someone else to step into TJ’s place. And it was Circuit Board (109, 36,73) who did just that coming in one over the card, beating Curtis (93,18,75) by two strokes with Stavros the Greek (98,21,77) three strokes back in 3^rd place (see detailed results below). Brilliant presentations: This meant the presentations in the carpark were a [Insert preferred adjective] again a celebration of Circuit Board’s [Insert preferred adjective] performance on the day, (See Photos of 2025 presentations). “You see the hat on this trophy …” started out Circuit Board in his winner’s speech (see AMOK 2025 Winners Speech). The Club committee congratulates Circuit Board on his [Insert preferred adjective] win and indeed all other winners on the day. The committee reminds members to book early for the next major event - The ‘Blessed are the Big Nose’ Cup to be run on the 18^th of April. See you there.
