Standardised Event Report: ‘TJ Triumphs in the Trenches Again!
April 25th 2024 - Lest we forget: So, this year’s running of the ANZAC Day medal was run at the Yarrambat Park where the conditions were not great but ok and the course in fairly good condition.
Nine club members turned out to remember, representing a solid cross section of the cream of the nnomads Golf Club membership base, creating only what could be described as a [insert preferred adjective] field. Preferred adjective alternatives – 1) Impressive, 2) Top class, 3) Sensational, 4) Magnificent or 5) Awe-inspiring: First onto the tee in Group 1 were Billy Bob Thornton, Slugger Fairweather, and TJ, closely followed by Group 2 including Circuit Board, Freddie Five Iron and Markus Octavious, and finally Group 3 with Stavros the Greek, The Bloke and Nurse Min. With such a highly skilled field like this, it was clearly going to be a [insert preferred adjective] competition (see 2024 Player Groups).	ADM Player groups 2024 Photos
Tough battle in the trenches: And that is exactly how it turned out with a truly a [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] display of how to play competition golf. Perfect examples included The Bloke’s [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] NTPs on the 5^th, Billy Bob Thornton’s [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] NTP on the 8^th, Stavros the Greek’s Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] NTP on the 12^th, and finally TJ’s [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] NTP on the 16^th, and his two [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] longest drives on the 9^th and 15^th holes. TJ Triumphs in the trenches: But at the end of the day, TJ (96,21,75) did it again, winning for the 2^nd year in a row, beating Stavros the Greek (94,18,76) and The Bloke (90,14,76) in equal second place by a single stroke. Remembered at the presentations: This meant the presentations were once again a celebration of TJ’s [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] performance during which last year’s champion TJ presented himself with the ADM pin and ADM trophy in front of an adoring gallery and player group. “This is the best bit about winning…. ” started out TJ in his acceptance speech (see 2024 ADM champion’s presentation and winners speech). The Club committee congratulates TJ on his [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] win and indeed all other winners on the day. The committee also reminds members that the next major event in 2024 is the Victorian Open Masters Invitational Tournament (VOMIT) to be run on the long weekend in June. So, book early and see you there.
