Standardised Event Report: ‘Stavros stays the Course’
March 13^th 2023: As expected, it was another Yarrambat kind of day with beautiful weather and a course in reasonably good condition. Hence, it was a perfect scenario for the 2^nd major nnomads Golf Club event for 2023.
Once again the turnout was below par as only 6 competitors stepped up to compete in the first Triggered Major of 2023, creating only what could be described as a [insert preferred adjective] field. Preferred adjective alternatives – 1) Impressive, 2) Top class, 3) Sensational, 4) Magnificent and 5) Awe-inspiring: First onto the tee in Group 1 were Slugger, Billy Bob Thornton and The Bloke closely followed by Stavros the Greek, Markus Octavious and Curtis in the 2^nd group. Quality on course: And that is exactly how it turned out with a truly a [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] display of how to play competition golf. Perfect examples of such expertise included Curtis’s [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] NTP on the 8^th and Longest drive on the 9^th, Slugger’s [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] Longest drive on the 15^th, and The Bloke’s [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] NTP on the 16^th. It is fair to say that the adoring gallery got their money’s worth that day (see On Course in 2023).	On course at the TM1 2023 Photos.
Stavros Stays the Course: At the end of the day, it was a clear but close result with Stavros the Greek (94,19,75) one over the card, and one stroke in front of 2^nd place getter The Bloke (90,14,76) with Markus Octavious (112,35,77) a further stroke behind in 3^rd place. It should be noted that there was only four strokes difference between 1^st and last place illustrating how close the competition really was on the day (see detailed results below). Celebrations and presentations: Hence, the presentations in the car park were a [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] celebration of Stavros the Greek’s [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] performance as you would expect. “I would like to thank my mother… “ started out the newly crowned champion as he was presented with the perpetual trophy for 2023 (see Photos of 2021 presentations and 2023 winners speech). The Club committee congratulates Stavros on his [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] win and indeed all other winners on the day. The committee also reminds members that the next major event in 2023 is the ‘Blessed are the Big Nose’ Cup, to be run on Good Friday. So, book early and see you there.
