Standardised Event Report:

‘The Bloke VOMITs’

June 12th 2022: So, the annual running of the Victorian Open Masters Invitational Tournament (VOMIT) was held at the Growling Frog in cold and wet conditions. And once again there was no teams event, a departure from tradition. Or maybe this is the new tradition in the post COVID era.

Despite a couple of drop outs (Wimpy excuses), a solid cross section of the cream of the nnomads Golf Club membership base turned out to complete in what could be only described as a [insert preferred adjective], not-to-be-missed event.

Preferred adjective alternatives – 1) Impressive, 2) Top class, 3) Sensational, 4) Magnificent and 5) Awe-inspiring:

The first group onto the tee included TJ, Pup, Freddie Five Iron and Stavros the Greek, with Nurse Min, The Cardinal, Markus Octavious and The Bloke close behind in Group 2. With such a highly skilled field like it was clearly going to be a [insert preferred adjective] competition (see 2022 Player Groups).

Quality on course: And that is exactly how it turned out with a truly [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] display of how to play competition golf. Perfect examples included TJ’s [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] NTP on the 5th hole, and Pup’s [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] longest drive on the 15th. It is fair to say that the adoring gallery got their money’s worth that day (see On Course in 2022).

On course - VOMIT 2022

Bloke VOMITs: At the end of the day, there was a single player who stood out from the rest being The Bloke (95,18,77) who ended up six strokes in front of 2nd place getter The Cardinal (108,25,83), with 3rd placegetter TJ (107,23,84) a further stroke behind. (See detailed individual results below).

No presentations: As it was, Group 2 were so slow that they came home in the dark, well almost. And as it was, the course wanted to close the gate at 5.30pm giving the event players 5 minutes to leave or be locked in. This meant that while the results were calculated, there wasn’t time to have the presentations to celebrate The Bloke’s [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] performance and his third win for the year. That said, the trophy was hurriedly given to The Bloke who stated that ‘Golf was the winner’ as he ran for his car (see champion’s speech video).

2022 VOMIT Champion Winner’s Speech - Video

The Club committee congratulates The Bloke on his [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] win and indeed all other winners on the day. The committee reminds members that the next major event in 2022 is the Swan Island nnomads Cup (SINC) in August, unless a Triggered Major sneaks into the event calendar before then.
