Standardised Event Report: ‘Surfer Boy Drops-In Again’
August 28^th, 2022: Once again it was a sensational day for the annual running of the Swan Island nnomads Cup (SINC) at Queenscliff Golf Club late in August of 2022. The weather cleared after some early mist turning into a magnificent day.
As was expected, a solid cross section of the nnomads Golf Club membership base turned out, creating only what could be described as a [insert preferred headline] field. Preferred headline alternatives – 1) Impressive, 2) Top class, 3) Sensational, 4) Magnificent or 5) Awe-inspiring: First onto the tee in Group 1 was event sponsor Pup, TJ, Nurse Min and Surfer Boy closely followed by The Bloke, Stavros the Greek, Freddie Five Iron and Markus Octavious in the 2^nd and final group. With a highly skilled field like this, it was clearly going to be a [insert preferred headline] competition (see 2022 Player Groups).	SINC Player groups 2022 Photos
Stiff competition on course: And that is exactly how it turned out with a truly a [Insert preferred headline] a display of how to play competition golf. Perfect examples included The Blokes [Insert preferred headline] NTP on the on the 14^th, and TJ’s [Insert preferred headline] longest drive on the 18^th. It is fair to say that the adoring gallery once again got their money’s worth that day (see On Course in 2022).	On course at the SINC 2022 Photos.
Surfer Boy drops in again: At the end of the day it was Surfer Boy (104,36,68) who blew the field away beating the next best player The Bloke (96,19,77) by 9 strokes, with Stavros the Greek (104,25,79) and Markus Octavious (115,36,79) in equal 3^rd place (see detailed results below). It is rare that someone wins a nnomads major event on their second appearance. Outstanding presentations: Once again, the presentations were held at Pup’s very comfortable ranch where it was a celebration of Surfer Boy’s [Insert preferred headline] performance. “Thanks for inviting me” started out Surfer Boy not realising the media was recording his every word (see poor quality but you get the picture SINC 2022 Winners Speech). The Club committee congratulates Surfer Boy on his [Insert preferred headline] win and indeed all other winners on the day. The committee also observes that The Bloke is back in the lead in the 2022 club championship, meaning nnomads GC members need to give him some real competition in the remaining major events for 2022. So, book early and see you there.
