Standardised Event Report: ‘Lest we forget The Bloke’
April 25th 2022 - Lest we forget: So, this year’s running of the ANZAC Day medal was once again at the Growling Frog golf course where the conditions were near perfect and the course in tip-top condition.
Eight club members turned out to remember, representing a solid cross section of the cream of the nnomads Golf Club membership base, creating only what could be described as a [insert preferred adjective] field. Preferred adjective alternatives – 1) Impressive, 2) Top class, 3) Sensational, 4) Magnificent or 5) Awe-inspiring: First onto the tee in Group 1 were The Bloke, Curtis, The Hanging Judge and TJ, closely followed by Group 2 including Stavros the Greek, Nurse Min, Billy Bob Thornton and Freddie Five Iron. With such a highly skilled field like this, it was clearly going to be a [insert preferred adjective] competition (see 202 Player Groups).	ADM Player groups 2022 Photos
Tough battle in the trenches: And that is exactly how it turned out with a truly a [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] display of how to play competition golf. Perfect examples included The Bloke’s [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] NTPs on the 5^th, and his [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] NTP on the 16th. Then there was The Hanging Judge’s [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] NTP on the 2^nd. Finally there were Curtis’s [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] longest drives on the 8^th and 15^thholes and his [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] NTP on the 12th. Lest we forget The Bloke: But at the end of the day, the standout player was The Bloke (85,18,67), who ended up five strokes under the card, and one stroke clear of the next closest player Stavros the Greek (93,25,68) with Curtis (93,16,77 a few strokes behind in equal 3^rd place. Remembered at the presentations: This meant the presentations were a celebration of The Blokes[Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] performance during which TJ presented The Bloke with the ADM pin and ADM trophy in front of an adoring gallery and player group. “It was a fabulous day for golf…. ” started out The Bloke in his acceptance speech (see 2022 ADM champion’s winners speech). The Club committee congratulates The Bloke on his [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] win and indeed all other winners on the day. The committee also reminds members that the next major event in 2021 is the Victorian Open Masters Invitational Tournament to be run on the long weekend in June (unless a triggered major occurs beforehand). So, book early and see you there.
