Standardised Event Report: ‘Cinders sizzles Santa’s Decanter
December 28th 2021: So, the final nnomads Golf Club major event for 2021, the Santa Decanter, was played at Yarra Bend in conditions that could only be described as glorious.
Being the final event for the year, a solid cross section of the nnomads Golf Club membership base turned out, creating only what could be described as a [insert preferred adjective] field. Preferred adjective alternatives – 1) Impressive field, 2) Top class field, 3) Sensational field, 4) Magnificent field and 5) Awe-inspiring: First onto the tee in Group 1 were The Cardinal, Cinders, TJ and Pup closely followed by The Bloke, Slugger, Markus Octavious and Stavros the Greek in the final group. With such a highly skilled field like this, it was clearly going to be a [insert preferred adjective] competition (see 2021 Player Groups).	SD Player groups 2021 Photos
Quality on course: And that is exactly how it turned out with a truly a [insert preferred adjective] a display of how to play competition golf. Perfect examples included Cinders’ [insert preferred adjective] NTP on the 1st, Stavros the Greek’s [Insert preferred adjective] NTP on the 8^th, The Bloke’s [Insert preferred adjective] NTP on the 16^th, and TJ’s [Insert preferred adjective] Longest Drive on the 6^thIt is fair to say that the adoring gallery got their money’s worth that day (see On Course in 2021). Cinders sizzles Santa’s Decanter: But there was one player who stood out from the rest and that was Cinders (107,36,71), who ended up one stroke over the card, and two strokes in front of 2^nd place getter The Bloke (90,17,73), with The Cardinal (100,24,76), a couple of strokes further back in 3^rd place (see detailed results below). Spectacular presentations: This meant the presentations back in the carpark were a [insert preferred adjective] celebration of Cinder’s [insert preferred adjective] performance (see Photos of 2021 presentations). “Thanks for the invite …” started out the newly crowned champion as the on-course media clambered for an interview (see 2021 SD winner’s Speech). The Club committee congratulates Cinders on his [insert preferred adjective] win and indeed all other winners on the day. The committee also announces that the 2021 club champion is The Cardinal who maintained his lead after displacing The Bloke after the last event. This also means that members need to prepare for the 1^st major event in 2021, the Australian Masters Open Kup (AMOK), to be run at the Growling Frog on Australia day in late January, at which the new champion will be formally presented with his trophy. So book early and see you there.
