Standardised Event Report: ‘On-course medic Triggers Major’
March 9^th 2020: As usual it was another Yarrambat kind of day with the course in unusually good condition, and the greens in remarkably good condition. Hence, it was a perfect scenario for the 2^nd major nnomads Golf Club event for 2020.
After a couple of poorly timed dropouts, eight competitors stepped up to compete in the first Triggered Major of 2020, creating only what could be described as a [insert preferred adjective] field. Preferred adjective alternatives – 1) Impressive, 2) Top class, 3) Sensational, 4) Magnificent and 5) Awe-inspiring: First onto the tee in Group 1 were The Bloke, Slugger, TJ and Stavros the Greek closely followed by Nurse Min, The Cardinal, Rubber Man and Freddie Five Iron in the final group. Sheer quality on course: And that is exactly how it turned out with a truly a [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] display of how to play competition golf. Perfect examples of such expertise included The Bloke’s [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] Longest drive on the 9^th, The Cardinal’s [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] Longest drive on the 15^th, The Bloke’s [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] NTP on the 5^th, The Cardinal’s [Rotate from list of preferred headlines] NTP on the 8^thand Nurse Min’s [Rotate from list of preferred headlines] NTP on the 16^th. On-course medic on-course: At the end of the day it was a clear result with Nurse Min (102,29,73) one over the card, and five strokes in front of 2^nd place getter Slugger (102,23,79) with Stavros the Greek (96,16,80) with TJ (100,20,80) a further stroke behind in equal 3^rd place (see detailed results below). In summary, the on-course medic, Nurse Min did it easily in anybody’s language. Celebrations and presentations: Hence, the presentations in the car park were a [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] celebration of Nurse Min’s [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] performance as it should have been (see Photos of 2020 presentations). “Well it was a very enjoyable day of golf …” started out the newly crowned Triggered Major champion as immediate past champion TJ presented him with the trophy (see 2020 TM1 winner’s speech). The Club committee congratulates Nurse Min on his [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] win and indeed all other winners on the day. The committee also reminds members that the next major event in 2020 is the ‘Blessed are the Big Nose’ Cup, to be run on Good Friday. So, book early and see you there.
