Standardised Event Report:

‘The Pooch is Back’

September 27th 2019: Once again it was another Yarrambat kind of day with the course in far better condition than the last major nnomads Golf Club event played there. And the weather was kind, almost pleasant, setting up a perfect day for competition golf.

After some saga (The Bloke and Markus Octavious made themselves unavailable at the last minute), there were nine competitors who stepped onto the 1st tee to compete in the second Triggered Major of 2019, creating only what could be described as a [insert preferred adjective] field.

Preferred adjective alternatives – 1) Impressive, 2) Top class, 3) Sensational, 4) Magnificent and 5) Awe-inspiring:

The first Group contained Thombei the Mist, Nurse Min and Billy Bob Thornton followed by Pup, The Cardinal and TJ in the second group, with Freddie Five Iron, Slugger, and Stavros the Greek, in the final group. With such an elite field like this, it was clearly going to be a [insert preferred adjective] competition (see TM2 2019 Player Groups).

Sheer quality on course: And that is exactly how it turned out with a truly a [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] display of how to play competition golf. Perfect examples of such expertise included TJ’s [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] two longest drives on the 9th,and 15th, Pup’s [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] NTP on the 8th, and Billy Bob Thornton’s [Rotate from list of preferred headlines] NTP on the 12th. It is fair to say that the adoring gallery got their money’s worth that day (see On Course at TM2 2019).

The Pooch is back: But at the end of the competition, one player clearly stood out from the rest and that was Pup (90,20,70) who ended up two strokes under the card, and five strokes in front of 2nd place getter Slugger (100,25,75) and with Stavros the Greek (99,23.76) and Thombei the Mist (100,24,76) a further stroke behind in equal 3rd place (see detailed results below). In effect, Pup just left the field scrambling in his wake.

Celebrations and presentations: Hence, the presentations were a [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] celebration of Pup’s [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] performance as it should have been (see Photos of 2019 TM2 presentations). “Well I just got a bit lucky …” started out the newly crowned Triggered Major champion in front of an adoring crowed in the back carpark of the Yarrambat Park (see 2019 TM2 winner’s Speech).

The Club committee congratulates Pup on his [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] win and indeed all other winners on the day. The committee also reminds members that the next major event in 2019 is the ‘Melbourne Cup Cup’, to be run on the 1st Tuesday in November. So, book early and see you there.
