Standardised Event Report: ‘Bloke Blasts ANZAC Battlefield’
April 25th 2019 - Lest we forget: So, this year’s running of the ANZAC Day medal was once again at the sensational Growling Frog golf course where the conditions were near perfect and the course in tip-top condition.
And nine club members turned out to remember, representing a solid cross section of the cream of the nnomads Golf Club membership base, creating only what could be described as a [insert preferred adjective] field. Preferred adjective alternatives – 1) Impressive, 2) Top class, 3) Sensational, 4) Magnificent or 5) Awe-inspiring: First onto the tee in Group 1 were Pup, Freddie Five iron, and Markus Octavious, closely followed by Group 2 including Billy Bob Thornton, Rubber Man and TJ, and the final group with Nurse Min, Curtis and The Bloke. With such a highly skilled field like this, it was clearly going to be a [insert preferred adjective] competition (see 2019 Player Groups).	ADM Player groups 2019 Photos
A battle in the trenches: And that is exactly how it turned out with a truly a [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] display of how to play competition golf. Perfect examples included Billy Bob Thornton’s [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] NTP on the 5^th,and his [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] longest drive on the 8^th. Then there was The Bloke’s [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] NTPs on the 2^nd and his [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] longest drive on the 15^th. The other [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] example iwas Freddie Five Iron’s [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] NTP on the 12^th.
Bloke blasts his way through: At the end of the day, the standout player was The Bloke (84,19,65), who ended up seven strokes under the card, and five strokes clear of the next closest player Rubber Man (102,32,70) with Billy Bob Thornton (98,27,71) a further stroke behind. It is fair to say it is some time since there has been such a [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] win. Focused presentations: This meant the subsequent presentations were a [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] celebration of The Bloke’s [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] performance during which last two year’s champion Billy Bob Thornton presented The Bloke with the ADM pin and ADM trophy again in front of an adoring gallery and player group. “I deserved to win…. ” started The Bloke in his acceptance speech which unfortunately was not recorded for prosperity	Presentations 2019 Photos
The Club committee congratulates The Bloke on his [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] win and indeed all other winners on the day. The committee also reminds members that the next major event in 2019 is the Victorian Open Masters Invitational Tournament to be run on long weekend in June (unless a triggered major occurs beforehand). So, book early and see you there.
