Standardised Event Report: ‘Pup Leads Poo Joggers to Victory’
June 11^th 2018: Sickness and no shows were once again a sub-theme as competitors began to arrive for the annual running of the Victorian Open Masters Invitational Tournament at the Yarrambat Park where the conditions were once again excellent and the course in tip-top condition, or at least an improvement on the last time the nnomads GC played there.
And being the only combined individual and Teams event of the year, those who did turn up represented a solid cross section from the cream of the nnomads Golf Club membership base, creating only what could be described as a [insert preferred adjective] field. Preferred adjective alternatives – 1) Impressive, 2) Top class, 3) Sensational, 4) Magnificent and 5) Awe-inspiring: The first Team onto the tee were The Poo Joggers with The Cardinal, The Hanging Judge, Freddie Five Iron and Pup closely followed by The Micturators made up of Stavros the Greek, The Bloke and Slugger. With such a highly skilled field like this, it was clearly going to be a [insert preferred adjective] competition (see 2018 Player Groups).	VOMIT Player groups 2018 Photos
Inspiration on course: And that is exactly how it turned out with a truly a [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] a display of how to play competition golf. Perfect examples of such expertise included The Hanging Judge’s [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] NTP on the 5th hole, and his [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] longest Drive on the 9^th,Pup’s [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] NTP on the 8^th and Stavros the Greek’s [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] longest Drive on the 15^th. It is fair to say that the adoring gallery once again got their money’s worth that day (see On Course in 2018).	On course at the VOMIT 2018 Photos.
Pup leads Poo Joggers to Victory: But there was one player who stood out from the rest in the individual competition and that was Pup (93,21,72) who ended up two strokes in front of 2^nd place getter The Hanging Judge (96,22,74), with The Bloke (119,34,85) and Stavros the Greek (99,24, 75) a further stroke back in equal 3^rd place (see detailed individual results below). It should be noted that Stavros the Greek was not awarded equal third place on the day due to an adding error found later but such is life. Poo Joggers follow Pup’s lead: And there was one Team that stood out from the rest and that was The Poo Joggers (Average net score 78.75 strokes), who ended up 1.55 strokes in front of 2^nd team place getter The Micturators (Average net 80.3 strokes) to be convincing winners in 2018. Sentational presentations: This meant the presentations back in the carpark were a [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] celebration of Pup’s [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] individual performance and The Poo Jogger’s team performance (see Photos of 2018 presentations). “I like to thank my playing partners …” started Pup as the media jostled for position to hear this year’s champion (see 2018 VOMIT champion’s speech). The Club committee congratulates Pup on his [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] win and The Poo Joggers on their [Rotate from list of preferred adjectioves] win, and indeed all other winners on the day. The committee also reminds members that the next major event in 2018 is the Melbourne Cup Cup in November, unless a Triggered Major sneaks into the event calendar, thought highly likely so watch this space.
