Standardised Event Report: ‘Pup Bends it Again
August 25^th 2018: So it was all about Billy Bob’s birthday and a 9 hole triggered major at Yarra Bend on a sunny day in June. Nine holes you say? Yes, well that is what everyone said but it was a brilliant event with significantly fewer aching bodies at the end of it all.
As is often the case, it was impossible to get the nnomads Golf Club Members in this event to stand in their playing groups for the purposes of taking a photo. That said it clearly was a [insert preferred adjective] field. Preferred adjective alternatives – 1) Impressive, 2) Top class, 3) Sensational, 4) Magnificent and 5) Awe-inspiring: Stand out competitors included Rubber Man, Billy Bob Thornton, Nurse Min, Stavros the Greek, Pup, The Bloke, Freddie Five Iron, The Hanging Judge, The Cardinal and Markus Octavious. Standout performances: And that is exactly how it turned out with a truly a [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] display of how to play competition golf. Perfect examples of such expertise included The Hanging Judge’s [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] longest drive on the 6^th, The Blokes [Rotate from list of preferred headlines] NTP on the 4^th, and his equally [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] NTP on the 8^th. Pup Bends it again: But there was one player who stood out from the rest and that was Pup (88,20,68), who ended up two strokes under the card when you doubled his score, and seven strokes in front of 2^nd place getter The Bloke (92,17,75) when you doubled his score, with Nurse Min (116,28,8) wrongly credited with 3^rd place and Markus Octavious who should have been awarded 3^rd place getting nothing (see detailed results below). The Club committee congratulates Pup on his [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] win and indeed all other winners on the day. The committee also reminds members that the next major event in 2018 will be the inaugural the ‘Swan Island nnomads Cup’ (SINC). So, book early and see you there.
