Standardised Event Report: ‘Pup Kills Bat’
March 12^th 2018: So it was not just another Yarrambat kind of day with the course in atrocious condition after being cored, and the greens covered in duck shit with absolutely no sign of any effort to look after the greens. It was the worst condition we have ever seen Yarrambat be in for a major nnomads Golf Club event.
But as you would expect, that didn’t stop nnomads Golf Club Members, with six competitors stepping up to compete in the first Triggered Major of 2018, creating only what could be described as a [insert preferred adjective] field. Preferred adjective alternatives – 1) Impressive, 2) Top class, 3) Sensational, 4) Magnificent and 5) Awe-inspiring: First onto the tee in Group 1 were Curtis, Pup and Billy Bob Thornton closely followed by Stavros the Greek, Markus Octavious, and Freddie Five Iron in the 2nd group. Unexpected quality: And that is exactly how it turned out with a truly a [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] display of how to play competition golf. Perfect examples of such expertise included Stavros The Greek’s [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] Longest drive on the 15^th, Freddie Five Iron’s [Rotate from list of preferred headlines] NTP on the 16^th, and Curtis’s [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] NTP on the 12^thand Longest drive on the 8^th. Pup Kills Bat: But there was one player who stood out from the rest and that was Pup (89,21,68) who ended up four strokes under the card, and three strokes in front of 2^nd place getter Freddie Five Iron (107,36, 71) with Curtis (88,14,74) a few strokes behind in 3^rd place (see detailed results below). In effect, Pup killed the Yarrambat Park course despite the terrible conditions. Celebrations and presentations: Hence, the presentations were a [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] celebration of Pup’s [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] performance as it should have been (see Photos of 2018 presentations). “Well the turd factor was pretty hard to deal with today …” started out the newly crowned Triggered Major champion in front of an adoring gallery in the back carpark of the Bat (see 2018 TM1 winner’s non-Speech). The Club committee congratulates Pup on his [Rotate from list of preferred adjectives] win and indeed all other winners on the day. The committee also reminds members that the next major event in 2017 is the ‘Blessed are the Big Nose’ Cup, to be run on Good Friday. So, book early and see you there.
