Standardised Event Report: ‘The Bloke has a big nose’
April 14^th 2017: More of the same, same you say? Well once again the Blessed are the Big Nose Cup was run at the same course, being Ringwood GC ….
And yes it was the same solid cross section from the cream of the nnomads Golf Club membership base that turned out to compete, creating only what could be described as a [insert preferred headline] field. Preferred headline alternatives – 1) Impressive, 2) Top class, 3) Sensational, 4) Magnificent and 5) Awe-inspiring: And yes, the groupings were exactly the same, that is, Group 1 again contained Pup, The Cardinal, Slugger and Markus Octavious, and Group 2 contained Stavros the Greek, Freddie Five Iron, Billy Bob Thornton and The Bloke. Exceptional on course: And that is exactly how it turned out with a truly a [Rotate from list of preferred headlines] a display of how to play competition golf. Perfect examples of such expertise included The Blokes [Rotate from list of preferred headlines] three NTPs on the 3^rd, 5^th and 8^th holes, The Cardinals [Rotate from list of preferred headlines] NTP on the 12^th hole, The Cardinal’s [Rotate from list of preferred headlines] Longest Drive on the 6^th and The Bloke’s [Rotate from list of preferred headlines] Longest Drive on the 13^th. The Bloke has a big nose: But there was one player who stood out from the rest and that was The Bloke (81,17, 64) who ended up six strokes under the card, and ten strokes better than 2^nd place getter The Cardinal (98,24,74)) with Markus Octavious (110,35,75) further stroke back in 3^rd place (see detailed results below). Entertaining presentations: This meant the presentations back in the carpark were a [Rotate from list of preferred headlines] celebration of The Bloke’s [Rotate from list of preferred headlines] performance (see Photos of 2017 presentations). The Club committee congratulates The Bloke on his [Rotate from list of preferred headlines] win and indeed all other winners on the day. The committee also reminds members that the next major event in 2017 is the ‘ANZAC Day medal, to be run at the Growling Frog on ANZAC day. So book early and see you there.
