Standard Event Report:

‘Bloke VOMITS with Sphincters’

June 7th 2015: Once again, this year’s annual running of the ‘Victorian Open Invitational Tournament’ (VOMIT) and the ‘nnomads GONADS Team Cup’ was held at Ringwood GC where the conditions were lovely and the course in reasonable condition.

As would be expected, a solid cross section of the cream of the nnomads membership base turned out, creating only what could be described as a [insert preferred headline].

First onto the tee in Group 1 were The Cardinal, Rubber Man, Freddie Five Iron and Slugger – AKA the ‘CARDINAL’S SPHINCTERS’ who were closely followed in Group 2 by Stavros The Greek, Billy Bob Thornton, The Bloke and Markus Octavious – AKA the ’STAVROS’S KNOBHEADS’.

With such a highly skilled and competition ready field like this, it was clearly going to be a [insert first word from preferred headline] competition.

Pure quality on course: And that is exactly how it turned out with a truly a [Rotate first words from list of preferred headlines] a display of how to play competition golf. Perfect examples of such expertise included The Cardinal’s [Rotate first words from list of preferred headlines] NTP on the 3^rd hole, Slugger’s [Rotate first words from list of preferred headlines] NTP on the 5^th, Stavros’s [Rotate first words from list of preferred headlines] NTP on the 8^th, The Blokes [Rotate first words from list of preferred headlines] Longest Drive on the 6^th and Freddie Five Iron’s [Rotate first words from list of preferred headlines] Longest Drive 14^th. It is fair to say that the adoring gallery got their money’s worth that day.

Bloke VOMITS with Sphincters: But there was one player who stood out from the rest and that was The Bloke (83,19,64) who ended up six strokes under the card and one stroke in front of the next best player – The Cardinal (91,26,65) with Stavros the Greek (98,24,74) a distant nine strokes behind that. And to top it all off the ‘CARDINAL’S SPHINCTERS’ just beat the ’STAVROS’S KNOBHEADS’ to take out the ‘nnomads GONADS Team Cup (see results below).

This meant the presentations back at the car park were a [Rotate first words from list of preferred headlines] celebration of The Bloke’s [Rotate first words from list of preferred headlines] performance and of course the ‘CARDINAL’S SPHINCTERS’ [Rotate first words from list of preferred headlines] performance (see photos of 2015 presentations).

“I think it was a fabulous day out….” started out a humble yet impressive The Bloke as the media jockeyed for position around the newly crowned champion. (see 2015 VOMIT winner’s speech). Note: We couldn’t get an interview with a spokesman for the ‘CARDINAL’S SPHINCTERS’.

The Club committee congratulates The Bloke on his second win in 2015 and indeed all winners on the day including of course the ‘CARDINAL’S SPHINCTERS’. The committee also reminds members to book early for the next major nnomads Golf Club event – The ‘Balnarring Invitational Tournament (BIT)’ on the 2^nd week in October. See you there.
