‘Bloke earns Medal on Anzac Day’

25^th April 2011: Lest we forget that the Bloke took out the second major event for 2011 at the Growling Frog in late April. In fact he was a worthy winner of the ANZAC Day Medal because he beat equal second placegetters Shags and Timo by a very impressive nine strokes.

This implies that the other nine competitors (all nett 80 strokes plus) were left pointlessly fighting it out in the trenches (not far from the truth), including Pup who was mistakenly named as an equal second place getter but really came equal fifth with Thombei (...and yes Pup has to give back his ball – or at least an adjustment will be made). Shags and Teflon took out the longest drives while The Bloke took out two NTPs, along with Teflon and Pup who got one NTP each.

The committee congratulates Steph on his continuing form in 2011 (see interview with winner) and reminds members that many men died to gain our freedom so use your freedom to the max by playing more golf.
